Well what a week, I had my Mum here and it was fantastic, but where usually we would treat ourselves, this time we were both on diets and doing our very best to be healthy, and hurrah it worked.
We spent a day at a fantastic health spa, and it was certainly different to when I went last year. Although it is a health spa, they also offer cakes and yummy creamy hot chocolate (?) Last year, I started with toast and jam for breakfast, then I added crab cakes and bread to the salad bar offered, then had cake in the afternoon with hot chocolate. This year I had fruit for breakfast, the salad bar and no bread for lunch and then a diet coke in the afternoon! hurrah I did it.
I did however enjoy wine this week, albeit in small glasses and very carefully pointed. I also enjoyed cooking for my mum and made a seafood pie, yes actually a pie, but with filo pastry sheets, (thank you hairy bikers) and a delicious honey and lemon chicken. The realisation that I can still enjoy my love of cooking and lose weight is amazing.
So this week I lost another 3 pounds which takes me to 25 pounds off in 8 weeks. To say I am chuffed is putting it mildly.
Away to Bovey castle for a few days next week, and their food is legendary, so my willpower will be tested to its point, lets see what I can do.

Rest, Relaxation and recuperation
Spent a wonderful day at the spa with my Mum today, so she could recuperate and I could relax. It was absolutely heavenly, although I still felt very self conscious in my swimsuit, god I wish the wobbly bits would go away.
The good thing was that as it was a health spa, lunch was very good, just a selection of salad and cold meats, or fish. All was going so well until I spotted the cakes later in the afternoon, in fact Mum and I stared at them far longer than was either polite or necessary!! We did however both resist them.
Oh and it was weigh day yesterday and I had lost another 4 pounds so my stats now read
3 x 7*, 5% off and 22 pound lost so far. I am so so chuffed and just want to keep going.
B - nothing, sorry I know the skinny latte I had didn't really count
L - Salad with chilli fish and 10 cashew nuts
D - 2 crumpets with low phili
snack - home made popcorn
